Resolve Misunderstandings and Reveal the Truth

There are many churches in the world. However what they say about the Church of God is usually in one accord: That church is a cult; stay away from there.

Is the Church of God really a church that we should stay away from? This is a misunderstanding. Rather, the Church of God is the church that Jesus Himself established and the leading prophets in the apostolic age like Peter and Paul attended. We can find evidence through Jesus’ words.

Matthew 16:17-18 Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah … and I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

2000 years ago, Peter correctly recognized that Jesus was the Christ. Jesus praised him and said that He would establish the church based on Peter’s faith. What did Peter believe in? Christ means the Savior, ‘God who came as a human’. At that time, Peter knew Jesus was God in nature and confessed it with his mouth. The church Jesus established is the church that teaches God can come as a human.

This is not the only characteristic of the church Jesus established. Following the example of Jesus, it keeps the Sabbath day, it keeps the new covenant Passover and considers it precious (Luke 22:50-56, 22:7-20). As well, women cover their heads with veils whenever they pray and worship God (1 Corinthians 11:1-6).

If keeping the Sabbath seems strange, if you think you don’t need to keep the Passover, if you think women do not have to cover their heads whenever they worship God, then this is a serious matter. That kind of person is the one who has and will have nothing to do with Jesus. And the church that keeps the Sabbath and the Passover is evidence that Jesus established that church.

The Church of God believes in God who came as a human, and keeps all the decrees that originated from the teachings of the Bible. Although many people in the world mistakenly think that the Sunday worship and Christmas are the truth, in actuality those things are nothing but weeds in the field of the truth, sown by the devil. And just as the weeds will be tied into bundles and thrown into the fire at the harvest, if we follow the law of Satan, ultimately we can never enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43).

Do you still think that the Church of God is a cult and violates the teachings of the Bible? We have to resolve misunderstandings. Only then will the voice of truth be heard and can we turn our footsteps back and go towards the kingdom of heaven.
