The reason the Church of God is special is that it is the only church prophesied in the Bible that has the truth and because God Himself established it. The Church of God, the name of the Early Church 1 Corinthians 1:2-13 To the church of God in Corinth … all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ ─ their Lord and ours … There is a church two thousand years ago, that the prophets attended and kept their faith in Jesus Christ to the end. It is the Church of God. Apostle Paul sent letters to the Church of God saints in Corinth with the hope that God’s blessings and grace be upon them. In the same way, even when he went to the Church of God in Galatia (The Central Anatolian highlands in modern day Turkey), he testified that the name of the church that Jesus established and the disciples such as Peter, John, etc., attended was the ‘Church of God’ (Galatians 1:13-14). The truth that the Early Church of God kept Then, what truths were in the Early Church of God? Luke 22:7-20 Jesus sent Peter and John, saying …”God and make preparations for us to eat the Passover … And he took bread, gave thanks … “This is my body given for you” … This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.” At the time of the Early Church, Jesus Himself had Peter and John prepare the new covenant Passover. And on this day, Jesus gave the blessings of the forgiveness of sins to His disciples, as He called the Passover bread “My body” and the Passover wine “My blood”. Under Jesus’ guidance, the disciples, including Peter and John, kept the new covenant Passover. Even after Jesus resurrected and ascended to heaven, the apostle Paul stressed that the “Passover is an important feast that must be kept to the end of the world” (1 Corinthians 11:22-26). Apostle Paul, Peter and John are all the prophets of faith who belonged to the same ‘Church of God’. Underneath the fact that they all kept the Passover constantly, we can confirm the reality that the Early Church of God had the truth of the ‘new covenant Passover’. Today, there is only one church in the world that keeps the new covenant Passover, which Jesus and His disciples kept. The church, like the Early Church of God, keeps the seven feasts in three times that Jesus let us know, including the new covenant Sabbath day and the women saints wear a veil on their head and keep worship service. Everything is kept according to what is written in the Bible (Luke 4:16, 1 Corinthians 11:1-16). Likewise, the church that continues the customs of the Early Church is the ‘World Mission Society Church of God’. Share on ... Google+ Twitter LinkedIn Facebook Pinterest Telegram Log In
